“My spouse and I sought out Dr. Lisa to help us resolve some relationship issues. We selected Dr. Lisa because we felt a woman’s perspective would be helpful. She was also easy to contact and in our initial call, made us feel comfortable.
Dr. Lisa makes you feel calm, relaxed and comfortable in being able to open up about difficult issues. She was very helpful with identifying the issues we needed to work on and guiding us through the process of moving forward to a better relationship.
I would highly recommend Dr Lisa. She allowed us both to open up and understand one another better. She taught us things about ourselves that we had not understood after 35 years of being together.”

“I sought Dr. Stockdale’s services because I was struggling with depression issues which were affecting both my career and personal life. The therapy process was professional, yet relaxed and casual. I felt like I was meeting not only with a therapist but a life coach as well. Dr. Stockdale not only gave me insight as to why I think and act as I do, but also gave me the tools to change my actions.
The benefit I received was to learn to give myself the same grace that I gave others in my personal life. I realized that I was just too hard on myself because of perfectionist tendencies. Dr. Stockdale gave me tools to realize when I was displaying perfectionist tendencies and to adjust my thinking accordingly. My depression level decreased significantly during the time I was meeting with Dr. Stockdale.
I would say to a fence-sitter, to just meet with Dr. Stockdale one or two times and see if there is a connection. I immediately felt at ease. I could tell I was in the hands of a capable professional who could improve my thought process and my life skills.”

Dr. Lisa was by far the easiest person I have ever spoken with. She makes you feel extremely comfortable and doesn’t pressure or judge you in any way! Don’t get me wrong. We opened up Pandora’s box, but it was on my terms. Because I keep things bottled up, this was really hard work, and at times, I did not see where it would get better. But my depression and sadness in life has changed to hope and a positive outlook on life.
Dr. Lisa, thank you for being there at a most vulnerable time in my life. Your therapy and personality was exactly what I needed to get my life back in order. You have made an incredible impact on my life (as well as my husband’s) and I thank you from the bottom of my heart!”

Another thing I really appreciated was that she researched and found out what my payments after insurance would be. I know this seems like a simple thing, but in counseling, that has not been my experience, even with offices that have a full-time financial person. I have been told one thing only to find out that my insurance does not even cover this person’s services or my co-pay is not all that is due! Six months into it, I find out I owe thousands!
It was just easy with her. I knew that she was the right one that could help me and be supportive, and dare I say, loving? I felt that she cared about me the minute I first spoke with her over the phone. The therapy process was soft. I don’t know how else to say it.
I was having flash backs, and Dr. Lisa discovered that I might be experiencing PTSD from my daughter’s death experience. She found a program that had worked for other professionals and was willing to work it with me even though she had no direct experience with it. Going through the process and having her support changed the way I was thinking.
Before, I had this intense pain, like a huge pit in my stomach and 1,000 different unpleasant glimpses of my past that I could never quite fit together to make any sense of it. After our time together, all of these pieces began to come together and make sense to me. My panic attacks and flash backs began to become less and less frequent. Today I rarely have any.
I had to move away unexpectedly while I was working with Dr. Lisa. I have thought about her often since then and wish she were here. I think everyone’s needs are different but I also think that Dr. Lisa is willing to meet people right where they are. And although therapy for anyone is painful and hard work, working with Dr. Lisa is soft and easy.(It sounds like a song that I need to write.) Just remember to always do your homework. It’s worth it! I promise.”

Initially it was exhausting for both of us — it took a lot of effort and work to sort out our feelings and relationship patterns, but as we learned and grew together it became easier and it was well worth the hard work! She helped us get back on track with each other! Our marriage is so much better than it has ever been in the 15 years of being together! We were reminded how to be a team of two again.
Set up a session and give it a try. You’ll learn about yourself, and that’s always worthwhile.”
