Individual Therapy

Ages 18-118

In individual counseling, you’ll meet with me one-on-one for a 45-minute session. During these sessions, I provide a collaborative and safe setting for clients to work through their toughest situations. My office is a place where clients are free to share their stress, anxiety, frustrations, and fears.

Some people are dealing with difficult family or relationship experiences. Others have troubling memories that are interfering in their daily life. Still others are plagued by thoughts that can lead to depression. No matter what they are going through, clients receive my undivided attention and support.

“Sometimes the people who act the happiest are the ones going through the most.”

Issues that I Commonly Treat in Adults

Depression

Depression usually comes on gradually. There can be many different reasons. It can begin with a devastating or traumatic event. It can also occur in connection with having a physical illness. Often, depression and anxiety are intertwined. It can last as short as two weeks, or if untreated, as long as a lifetime.

Anxiety

All of us deal with anxiety at some level. We lead lives filled with demands that can cause stress and pull us in multiple directions. However, for many, it can become overwhelming. Unwanted thoughts constantly resurface while feelings of uncertainty, worry, and restlessness interfere with daily life.

Anger Management

I help clients who struggle to manage their anger. They are tired of fighting with the ones they care about. They often have stories of regret and shame over their behavior when they were angry. They may even notice their loved ones acting towards them as if they are a ticking time bomb that could explode without notice.

Grief

Post-Traumatic Stress

Have you experienced a traumatic event where you whitnessed death or your own near death? And since then have reoccuring intrusive thoughts or nightmares about the event? You might be having trouble processing what happened.

Bipolar

Bipolar disorder, also known as manic depression, is a chronically recurring condition involving moods that swing between the highs of mania and the lows of depression.
